Ethics Awareness Month

March is Ethics Awareness Month, and The American College Center for Ethics in Financial Services will be recognizing EAM in a number of ways.
First, throughout the month, the Center is hosting an Ethics Awareness Quiz. This is a fun, interactive quiz that focuses on the importance of ethical values and our responses to various personal, business and financial service related situations. All answers are confidential. The results will be available on this website in April, so be sure to check back.
Second, the March edition of Ethical Perspectives, due out mid-month, will also feature an article on Ethics Awareness Month, written by the Center's Director, Julie Ragatz. In it, you'll read about some of the most controversial ethical dilemmas in the financial services industry during the past year. Learn how leadership responded to these challenges and think about how these lessons learned can contribute to your own practice. To download a copy of the most recent edition of the newsletter, click here.
Third, for The American College employees and visitors, there is a Center for Ethics display in The American College Library during March. There, you'll be able to see biographies on the Center staff, our newest membership brochure, a full-color copy of our newsletter, Ethical Perspectives, and more. Be sure to stop by the display window at some point and let us know if you have questions on any of the information shown.
Finally, don't forget that our Cary Maguire Fellow, Anthony Catanach, regularly comments on ethical financial reporting in his blog. You'll be fascinated by Professor Catanach's insightful research and his interviews with top media, especially as they relate to companies that you may be familiar with.
